prayer, and other artful expressions to create a corporate worship experience
that ushers in the very presence of God? Are you gifted with leadership
and relational skills that are grounded in a solid biblical foundation?

Are you a pencil drummer? A shower singer? A sidewalk chalk artist? In Worship Ministries, we believe that there is a place for anyone who has a heart for worship to serve as we strive to incorporate all art forms into our worship experiences. Check out the following volunteer opportunities:
WORSHIP ARTS
Worship Team
If you are a gifted vocalist or instrumentalist, have a heart for worship
and are called by God to lead others in worship, worship team may be for
you. Musicians serve 1-2 times a month and rehearsals are on Wednesday
evenings. Auditions required.
Celebration Choir
If you have a heart for worship and love to sing, Celebration Choir is
the place for you. No audition, previous singing or choir experience is
necessary. Rehearsals are the 2nd and 3rd Tuesday of each month from 7:00-9:00pm;
choir leads worship the Sunday following the 3rd Tuesday.
Graphic Artist Needed!
We are currently seeking a volunteer with a background in graphic design
to help with our weekly update and special projects. This ministry is
critical to CotC so if you have the skills in this area, please prayerfully
consider serving in this capacity.
Artists Needed!
If you love to paint, sculpt, draw, etc. Worship Ministries needs you! Express your love for God through your art while helping others to experience God through a variety of creative, visual arts. Artists meet quarterly to share ideas and works of art and to plan for future events.
Drama
Church of the Chimes has always excelled in the area of drama. This is a significant way to effectively communicate the gospel of Jesus Christ. If you have any acting experience or just a passion for theater, we invite you to check out this ministry.
Prison Ministry
Quarterly, we send worship teams and speakers to Elmwood Men’s prison in Milpitas to lead worship. If you are interested in joining a team as a musician or lay leader, please prayerfully consider applying for this team.
WORSHIP TECHNOLOGY AND COMMUNICATIONS
Podcast Team
Starting soon, CotC will have it’s own weekly Podcast! We will train you
how to design, record and produce our worship podcasts. No previous technical
experience is required – all are welcome to join this cutting edge ministry!
Sound and Lighting Team
Our sound and lighting techs provide an indispensable service during our worship celebrations. No previous experience is needed; we will train you through Sound Made Simple’s ICD and by pairing you with a seasoned sound tech.
Multi Media Team
If you love behind the scenes work, the multi media team needs you! This exciting team supports our musical worship teams in leading worship by creating and running slides. No previous experience is necessary – just a desire to serve!
Video Team
This growing ministry is a great place for anyone who loves movies – filming, editing, producing, etc. This team meets monthly and we’ll train you to do it all – no previous experience is required.
Web Team
The Web Team facilitates communication among Church of the Chimes members,
staff, and leaders, reaches out to our community for seekers, and tells
the world of Church of the Chimes’ commitment to serve and glorify God.
We welcome anyone who knows HTML or can use Dreamweaver (or similar) to
edit web pages.
Newsletter
If you love to write, we invite you to join our newsletter team. This
monthly publication is a fun and creative way to keep all of the various
worship ministries connected with one another as well as communicate upcoming
events, both on and off campus.
WORSHIP HOSPITALITY
Usher/Greeter Ministry
Serve once to twice a month by welcoming our guests as they come to worship,
passing the offering plate and creating a welcoming and worshipful environment.
We will provide all coaching and training. No previous serving experience
is required, just a servant's heart.
Special Events Team
This ministry is a great way to get involved without having to commit
to a regular serving schedule! If you are interested in helping out with
seasonal events such as decorating the sanctuary for Advent and Lent,
helping with all-church potlucks and BBQ’s, planning special events, etc
we would love to have you on the Special Events Team.
