If you have a heart to love God and a desire to support children’s spiritual growth, then you have the two basic ingredients necessary to become a volunteer in the Children’s Ministry. You do not need a degree in early childhood development or elementary education to serve. You may work directly with children or be part of a support team that keeps the ministry working.
KIDS.COMmunity Ministry
If you love children and enjoy being with them and want to minister to
them, then KIDS.COM is the place to volunteer! You will be supported in
your ministry through the KIDS.com staff and leadership team. We plan
enrichments throughout the year specifically designed to encourage, equip,
energize and empower you for ministry. You will not be a lone ranger in
your ministry to children...guaranteed!
The Gardens
The Giggle Garden (Nursery)
Birth - 2 years old
Garden friends are needed to care and love the babies and toddlers. Contact
to sign up for one of the worship times, 9:00 or 10:30 a.m.
The Bug Garden
2 -5 years old
-4 adult volunteers needed at the first service to provide consistent caring presence in a preschool classroom, on hand and ready and willing to comfort children struggling with separation anxiety. Time commitment: 1 service hour every other Sunday.
Kid Street
Kindergarten - Grade 5 at 9:00 a.m.
-1 storytellers 1 time a month
-1 Admin to write postcards to kids during the week

KIDS.com Support Team
You can use your God-given gifts to invest in the lives of children without
being directly involved with the children. Some behind the scenes opportunities:
office assistant, event planner, photography, videography, multi-media
production, graphics or web designers, sound board operator, planning,
food preparation, decorating, laundry and set up/clean up team.
There is a place for you. It does not take a lot of time.
You can successfully minister to children with a minimal time commitment. You will be able to form relationships
with children and their parents that will communicate love and value,
not only from you, but also from God. Or you can serve behind the scene
on your own time schedule. It would be exciting to watch God at work in
you and through you as you minister to the children of Church of the Chimes.
