What does it mean to be a Christian?
To be a devoted follower of Jesus Christ, the son of God and Savior to all who put their faith in Him. Christians believe the Bible is the inerrant Word of God and get their direction from it.

Do you have weekly Bible studies or small groups?
Yes, see the Discipleship section of this web site.

Are the people who work with Children screened in any way?
All of our caregivers have received special training and have been screened and fingerprinted.

What security system do you have in place for young children?
Parents are required to register their children and are given a pager so they can be contacted if needed. The pagers are numbered according to the registration sheet, and children will only be released after the return of the pager which identifies the parent.

Do you have any young couples groups for newly weds, or for couples with small children?
Yes, we have several couples groups. To find a group, contact Doug or Monica Silkwood.

How do we as a couple (or as a single) get plugged into a small group?
Many small groups for adults are described on the Discipleship/Adult page, or contact Larry Burroughs for help finding a group.

Do you have any grief support groups?
Yes, periodically through the year an 8 week course is offered to support those who have lost loved ones.

Do you offer any classes that would help our family manage their finances?
Yes, Good $ense is a course that is offered periodically. If you are interested, contact Larry Burroughs

What is your church's involvement in missions and outreach?
We are involved in local community services/projects, missions in Cuba, Mexico, and Honduras, and in planting new churches right here in Silicon Valley. Alpha, an introduction to the Christian Faith, is also offered at CotC.
