God: Worshipping Together

Grow: Building Relationships with Others

Go: Reaching the world (Beyond ourselves)

God:

We believe it is critically important that we faithfully devote our full attention to God and respond appropriately to everything that He reveals to us about Himself. This is the essence of worship--the "worth-ship" of God. He alone is worthy of our best expressions of praise, thinking, reflections, discussions and this is why we present ourselves to Him as living sacrifices both corporately and individually. Worship is about learning to grow in our love for God as well as spiritual disciplines of prayer--confession, adoration, praise, illumination, intercession--and the stewardship of our time, talent and treasure. Our highest goal at Church of the Chimes is to see lives transformed in such a way that worship of the living God is our only purpose in life.

Grow:

Developing Your Spiritual I.Q.

Biblical engagement and discipleship groups are to your spiritual well-being what exercise is to your physical well-being. To help keep your spiritual muscles strong, we offer a wide variety of growth groups; topics range from Christian life and ministry skills to theology, history and more...not to mention a host of Bible studies.

We offer groups for those at all stages of their faith journey. Whether you're new to the faith, a mature believer or somewhere in-between, you'll find a class that's designed for your "spiritual fitness" level.

We also work one-on-one with individuals interested in pursuing a ministry vocation through the Mobilizing Leaders Training which provides mentoring, coaching and specific courses relevant to our denomination's Commissioned Leader and Pastor designations.

We offer and recommend groups using several different curricula and specific studies. Please see our current monthly "Groups" brochure available online or at any of the Connection Boxes located in each building on our campus. This brochure will give you information about what groups are offered, when and where they meet, as well as who you can contact for more information.

Go:

Volunteer and Put Your Passions to Work

Joy comes from going beyond ourselves and learning to serve others, giving of as well as from being needed by others. Volunteering to “Go” is a great way to bring about both outcomes. The wonderful thing is that we ALL have an opportunity to use our unique spiritual gifts, heart interests, abilities, passions and experiences (S.H.A.P.E.) to the benefit of both our church and ourselves. Serving is not "one size fits all." We are all different. Not only do we have different skills, gifts and interests, but each of us is at a different stage of our life and spiritual journey.

Here at CotC, we all have an opportunity to participate in accomplishing God's eternal plans and purposes––that's what He created us for. Perhaps it is to help out in one of the many ministries at Church of the Chimes. Perhaps it is to take on a one-time task, such as joining a special event team. Perhaps your primary opportunity to volunteer and put your passions to work happens beyond the walls of Church of the Chimes - in your workplace or other daily activities. Our vision to "Make and S.H.A.P.E a new generation of families who follow Jesus in his mission to build the Kingdom of God" embraces our role as a partner in multiplying and sending volunteers into our neighborhood and into our world with the message of love found only in Jesus Christ.

There are many different serving opportunities available. We want to help you find just the right place to serve!
